This is the standard winter cap worn by both the HJ and DJ and is actually very scarce. The cap is black wool and has a cloth embroidered HJ diamond on front. The lining is quilted cotton with a partial sweatband in the front. You can see where the RZM tag was once machine sewn into the top. And if that's not enough, of course the buckle is RZM maker marked. Also, the buckle, being the shiny one, is for dress, not everyday service. The missing tag may be a slight drawback, but it is made up for with the fact that the cap is in virtually unissued condition. Size is about a 56. Only the second one I've encountered. Very scarce piece of political headgear.
