This Political Leader's gorget still has a fresh appearance throughout the breastplate and the neck chain. In fact, if this gorget had an accompanying issue box it would look normal, as that is the condition this item is in. The breastplate is a beauty having full 100% original bronze finish throughout its non-magnetic surfaces. It is a full 9-inches wide at the top and is a crescent shape. The edges of the gorget have a raised out overlapping oak leaf design. In the center is a large 7-inch wide open winged eagle which looks to the right and clutches a fine wreathed raised out swastika. The reverse of the breastplate has two tabs. One of the tabs is marked, "RZM M1/102". This RZM number matches the two which are stamped on the links which connect the neck chain. This is one of the best, if not the best Political Leader's gorget I have handled. It is the same as the example shown in the Deeter Gorget Book on page 128. A great item here for the fussy collector.
